The main purpose of maintenance is defined as helping the project achieve the objectives for which it was established, and within which it works. Therefore, the objectives of maintenance must be placed within the framework of the general objectives of the project, and these objectives are transformed into a set of sub-goals after being modified in accordance with the nature of the maintenance activity.
